An eyeshadow tutorial using the Urban Decay Afterdark Palette with Scene, Supersonic, & Sinful for a copper look sure to make blue eyes pop on All Things Beautiful XOWhat color eyeshadow makes your eyes really pop? I know there are all kinds of posts & ideas out there telling you all about that. But which color makes you really notice your own unique eye color? For me- it is purple & copper. I absolutely love the way my eyes look with both colors! But today I want to talk about this coppery eyeshadow look using all Urban Decay eyeshadows- especially from the Afterdark Palette ( I swatched & reviewed it here with a purple makeup look!) so keep reading to check it out!

An eyeshadow tutorial using the Urban Decay Afterdark Palette with Scene, Supersonic, & Sinful for a copper look sure to make blue eyes pop on All Things Beautiful XOFor this look I pulled in two Urban Decay Palettes- Urban Decay Afterdark Palette (swatches, review, & eye look here) & my oh-so-loved Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette (swatches, review, & eye look here). I’ll definitely give you an idea of the shades below in case you want to shop your stash. But I highly recommend checking them out for yourself because I use them both so frequently! You can actually get a VERY similar look using the new Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette which I’ll be reviewing soon!

An eyeshadow tutorial using the Urban Decay Afterdark Palette with Scene, Supersonic, & Sinful for a copper look sure to make blue eyes pop on All Things Beautiful XOAs usual- I started out with a tinted eyeshadow primer. I used Lethal (UD Ultimate Basics) in my crease to build some depth. It is something I reach for constantly because the reddish tones really add interest while still deepening up the area. I blended out with my It Cosmetics Crease Brush which I don’t seem to be able to put down lately. So soften the edge above, I used I bit of Instinct (UD Ultimate Basics) which has mauve tones. On my lid on top of the primer I used Supersonic (UD Afterdark) (similar shade here) on the outer 1/3 of my lid- this shade is an incredible very red-based metallic copper. I have been using a Real Techniques brush like this to pack on colors lately & really enjoy it. On the inner 1/3 of my lid & my inner corners I used Alter (UD Afterdark)  (similar shade here)  which is a stunning, soft gold. I like using a small detail brush like this for the area. Sometimes I use this shade foiled but it didn’t need to be the attention this time.

On the bottom lashline I used Lethal (UD Ultimate Basics) to smoke out the outter 1/3. On the inner corner I pulled out Alter (UD Afterdark) (similar shade here) for more highlight. I filled in the center lightly with a touch of Supersonic (UD Afterdark)  (similar shade here) on a small detail brush like this close to the lashline. To blend out my browbone I reached for Nudie (UD Ultimate Basics) ever-so-lightly. Then right at my arch I added a touch of Blow (UD Ultimate Basics).

An eyeshadow tutorial using the Urban Decay Afterdark Palette with Scene, Supersonic, & Sinful for a copper look sure to make blue eyes pop on All Things Beautiful XO On my brows I’m still using my Urban Decay Naked2 Ultimate Basics Palette along with this angled brow brush. Yes- I use powder eyeshadow on my brows! I also set with this NYX clear brow gel which I’m completely obsessed with in this summer heat especially. For my eyeliner I’ve been using this black gel liner from Tarte. Normally I use my Stila Stay-All-Day Waterproof pen…& I probably should’ve. I love the Tarte liner for my inner rim & smudging but I think I need a new one because my wings just aren’t clean. I used this eyeliner brush to apply gels by the way! Sorry about that. But I don’t photoshop them so ENJOY the realness! My mascara is my holy grail It Cosmetics Superhero. That’s right- no falsies needed.

An eyeshadow tutorial using the Urban Decay Afterdark Palette with Scene, Supersonic, & Sinful for a copper look sure to make blue eyes pop on All Things Beautiful XOIf you follow me on instagram (here!) or snapchat (here!) then you have probably already guessed my lipcolor! It is Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick in Backtalk…& I’m obsessed. I seriously wear this shade so much- I need like 5 more to keep in my purses. For foundation I’m using a mixture of my well-loved Make Up For Ever foundation & Urban Decay foundation. My concealer for spots is this one from Tarte but under my eyes I still love this brightening concealer from Maybelline. I set everything with this translucent powder from Tarte. I’m not actually wearing blush but I am wearing this Laura Mercier highlighter which I tend to reach for when I want something more demure & how’s THIS REVIEW POST for a throwback?! I actually applied the highlighter with this fan brush as well for even less products but still proper placement. & because of this summer heat- I used one of my summer-friendly setting sprays (I featured all of them here on the blog!) to keep everything in place!

Do you own the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics (review here) or Urban Decay Afterdark Palettes (review here)? Favorite shades or any shades inside you’d like to see looks with? What palettes have you been reaching for a ton this summer?
